Pro-Cast Products is proud to assist local emergency response groups. Pro-Cast donates precast structures to be used for advanced rescue training. This picture shows the recently completed "structure collapse prop" located at the Santa Fe Springs Fire Fighter Training Center. Rescue workers will train in the prop simulating a collapsed building search and rescue operation. Pro-Cast Products has donated precast concrete structures to several of Southern California's Fire Fighters since about 1987.

Precast Concrete Barriers
A Variety of Concrete Barriers are Available in California for Highway & Military Applications
K-Rail concrete barriers are used primarily on the highway as a buffer from traffic for construction projects. K-Rail is the standard for concrete temporary barrier for The California Department of Transportation (Cal Trans). K-rail is sometimes left in place at the completion of the construction projects. K-Rail is also used in landslide areas to protect the roadway. There are many other concrete barriers of different sizes & shapes available in Southern California.
Pro-Cast Products, Inc. in Highland California (San Bernardino County) makes a variety of concrete barriers & security barriers ranging from parking bumpers to the 32” tall k-rail, 5’ high Colorado barrier, 6’ 8” tall Texas T & 10’ tall Alaska barrier. These barriers are used on highways & for military applications. Some of the barrier shapes are similar to barriers made for the war theatre in Iraq. Pro-Cast also manufactures sound & noise barriers including a sound absorbing wall. Pro-Cast manufactures custom concrete barriers as they did for the Victoria Ave Bridge in Riverside. http://procastproducts.com/

Advantages of a Precast Concrete Septic Tank compared to a Plastic, Fiberglass or Steel Tank
Procastproducts.com
The material used in septic tank construction is very important and should be taken into strong consideration when choosing a tank for your project or dwelling. Precast concrete septic tanks offer many advantages over fiberglass, plastic or steel. These advantages include:
Long-Term Mechanical Properties: Precast concrete will actually gain strength over time. Steel or HDPE (high-density polyethylene) will deteriorate and lose strength with time. A properly maintained precast concrete septic system will last for decades. Concrete tanks can easily be made to handle vehicle loads. Do not try this with a plastic tank!
Buoyancy: Because concrete tanks are much heaver than fiberglass, plastic or steel, they resist buoyant forces far better than the lighter constructed tanks. There will be no need for the kind of additional labor-intensive and time consuming on-site preparation to anchor structures like what is necessary for the more buoyant tanks. A plastic septic tank can rise out of the ground breaking pipes along the way.
Installation: Due to their lighter weight, plastic, steel and fiberglass tanks are more susceptible to structural damage during installation. Improper back filling of the excavation site with rocky material can damage the lighter tanks. Plastic, steel and fiberglass tanks must be filled with water as they are buried; if not done correctly they will collapse. Concrete tanks on the other hand are simply back filled in one operation.
Environmentally Friendly: Besides water, concrete is the most frequently used material on earth. It is non-toxic, environmentally safe and made from natural ingredients, making it an ideal material for septic tanks. Concrete is used throughout the country in various applications and does not affect groundwater or surface water quality.
To insure quality in purchasing a precast concrete septic tank not all companies are the same. There are several certifications and programs that ensure a quality, durable, water- tight tank. One well established company, Pro-Cast Products, based in Highland, California, has been producing quality precast tanks and products since 1987. Pro-Cast Products certifications and quality control programs include:
· NCPA (National Concrete Precast Association) certified plant, Quality Control Department and personal
· IAPMO (International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials) certifying all tanks are built to UPC (Uniform Plumbing Code) standards
· CalTrans (California Department of Transportation) certified
· Los Angeles fabricator license
· and others.
The advantages of precast concrete septic tanks are clear. They are strong, durable environmentally sound and can be manufactured in sizes and configurations to meet your needs. With a quality company like Pro-Cast Products you can be assured of a durable, trouble free septic tank that will last for decades.
